The Faculty Practice Operations and Business Analytics maintains a data mart that contains clinical, financial, and operational data. The data mart is designed to provide clinical departments with the information needed for regular and ad-hoc reporting. The data mart is a comprehensive collection that includes data extracted daily from the APeX Clarity repository, such as Resolute Professional Billing, Cadence (Scheduling), OpTime (OR Scheduling), and a limited subset of Resolute Hospital Billing data. Additionally, the data mart incorporates data from the legacy billing systems IDX and SMS, as well as clinic expense data from the accounting system (Dunn & Bradstreet), ensuring the reliability of the data sources.

Every month, the database details are summarized and saved in the form of several multi-dimensional reporting "cubes," each addressing a different reporting function. You can find a list of the available cubes under the Analysis Studio directory.

The Faculty Practice Organization administers the database and provides user-friendly business intelligence (BI) tools required to access the data. The Decision Analytics Reporting Tool (DART) system, which is a part of the Cognos (IBM) Business Intelligence Suite of products, is designed to be intuitive and easy to use, ensuring the audience feels at ease with the technology.
